St. James UMC is host to children and families every summer for Vacation Bible School.  We offer a FREE VBS, that usually runs the second week of July every year.  Our VBS is open to children
3 years old - rising 6th graders.  It runs from Monday - Friday and every evening you are invited to join us in fellowship with a free meal to you served by our Hospitality Team.
This year we have chosen "Roar!" as our theme for VBS.
This epic African adventure engages the whole herd. At Roar, kids explore God’s goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that powers them through this wild life.

Check-in, Drop-off, & Pick-up

How do I check my child into VBS?

We ask that each evening, you walk your child into the sanctuary and locate their tribe leader and check them in .

How do I register my child on site if they are not already registered online?

Just visit our registration table in the lobby and we’d be happy to guide you through the registration process. The following day, you will be able to check in through with your child's tribe leader.

How do I check out my child?

All grades except for Pre-School will be picked up from the same spot you dropped them off at, the sanctuary.  If your child is in pre-school, you can pick them up from the pre-school class room.  All tribe leaders will have a list of people allowed to pick up your child.  Only those on that list will be allowed to pick up your child.

Other Questions

Can I stay on campus during VBS?

Yes, our VBS is a family VBS, which means that kids from the same family are in groups together and if you the parent would like to participate as well you can follow along with your childs tribe throughout the night.

Will my child be fed a snack at VBS or I do need to pack one?

Every night our hospitality team provides a free delicious dinner for every volunteer, child, and family member.  A list of the meals each night will be posted and mailed to you before VBS week.
